Early Autumn Landscape Photography at Grasmere

Early Autumn Landscape Photography at Grasmere is where I start my Lake District Autumnal adventures this year. I spend a lot of time here throughout the year. Partly due to the easy access to such a rewarding place and partly due to the fact it’s simply a beautiful place to be.

Still Pretty Green in Penny Rock Woods approaching Grasmere.

I love this view down the path. I first shot this several years ago in the morning Mist as two small deer walked across the path.

Another interesting viewpoint through the trees.

Without the Foreground Tree.

Beautiful Grasmere. Helm Crag just visible past the trees on the right. Still very Green.

Sone of the large rocks on the shore make for interesting foreground elements.

It’s starting to turn, hopefully I will capture some vibrant golden browns here in the next few weeks.

 Classic Grasmere.

Warming the image up slightly brings out a little more colour.

A little colour in the clouds over Helm Crag.

For a brief moment the sky illuminated and fortunately I was in place and ready.

A Classic scene over Grasmere that people have enjoyed since William Wordworth’s day and for many more years.

More Colour over above the bench than anywhere else.

Under the trees.

Love the symmetry of this classic shot. Slight ripples adds to the texture of this image in my opinion.

By the Fence. Beautiful.

Experimenting with some Black and White conversions.

The Bench under the trees.

A good start to my Autumnal Lake District Landscape Photography Shoots. Hopefully I can witness the colours change and some amazing light to really bring things to life.
