I have just been given a gift of your second book for my 78th birthday. Your photography speaks to my soul. You have captured all I ever felt about colour and texture in my beloved Lake District. I have been photographing the oak tree at the end of Rydal for years, and balancing over the Hodge Close Quarry and capturing Skelwith trees in all weather.

Love this book

Book was a present for my father’s 90th birthday. He and my mother spent many happy holidays walking in the Lakes and the book was to remind him of those times.

I bought two unframed photos of Buttermere and the Langdales. Both are of a very high quality, printed on stiff paper. The definition is excellent, as are the colours (black and white in my case). The pictures came well packaged in a robust tube and are currently at the framers, soon to grace the walls of my study where I can gaze at them all day, remembering past adventures and planning new ones. Both volumes are beautifully presented and a pleasant surprise in the amount of images and pages, I say that as I’m often disappointed with some photographers books which lack enough quantity to make it either feel special or become a favourite coffee table book. Both volumes hit the mark, very well presented, excellent quality and plenty of quantity. The images are fantastic, I love the sympathetic, understated post processing that James has achieved. I congratulate him on not falling into the American over saturated, use of Orton effect and dropping in the moon, sun and skies into the image, bravo.

I don't tend to leave reviews but wanted to say a special thank you for your books Capture Lakeland volumes 1 and 2. 
I bought volume 1 for my dad last year and volume 2 for my mum this year. They took me on holiday every year to the Lakes when I was growing up. I am fortunate I still manage to visit a couple of times a year to take in the beauty of the area. My parents retired some years ago and managed to get up there for a couple of holidays but now unfortunately are unable to go away from home. Another beautiful book with beautiful photographs

Even better than the first volume of Capture Lakeland, which was brilliant so that's quite a compliment. The different size format of this volume shows off the photography more impressively than the previous but I would now love to see the first volume reissued in the new size format. I see that another reviewer likes the difference in size format between the two volumes so it's very much a matter of personal taste but I would love them to match and I think the first volume deserves the premium size format of the second volume. Probably not a practical or economic proposition though unfortunately.

This book really stands out as something different

I just wanted to thank you for producing this book. I bought volume 1 last year and loved it so my husband ordered volume 2 for my birthday.

This second book is every bit as beautiful as the first, you have a real talent in capturing the feel of the place, so when I look at the photographs I almost feel like i'm there. We don't get to the lakes as often as would like so this is really special to me.

I like that you've made the book a different shape from volume 1 but kept the same style, it makes them different but they still go together.

I also like that you've included names with each image this time, it makes me want to explore further than our usual keswick and borrowdale.

As with volume 1, this book really stands out as something different, including similar scenes taken at different times of year was such a good idea and makes them even more interesting.

Obviously I greatly admire your work but also wanted to say thank you for the updates during the production and delivery process, your customer service is excellent and very much appreciated.

All my loose prints are shipped in a sturdy card postal tube. Framed prints and canvases are shipped wrapped in bubble wrap and carefully packed in a custom designed cardboard box. I aim to deliver within 2-7 days of receiving your order depending on the order contents and quantity, prints are usually printed and posted next day, larger framed/canvases can take 5-10 days. The price of delivery is added to your order at the checkout stage.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Any items that arrive damaged may be returned for a 100% refund or replacement. If this occurs, please contact me immediately with the status of your goods, I will need to see a photo of the damaged item and the packaging. I will process the refund or replacement as soon as I receive the returned items. If the damage was the shipper's fault, I will reimburse you for the shipping too so please save a receipt and send it to me for a full refund of the order plus any shipping costs you incur. Please refuse delivery if the item appears damaged on arrival.
