Quite often you just know it’s not going to be one of those days when you witness amazing light that illuminates the wonderful landscapes of the Lake District. I have been a long time advocate of adapting my approach to photography to suit the environment and the conditions. As a Landscape Photographer you have to be flexible to adapt to the conditions in my opinion otherwise you just go home disappointed and deflated. For me the joy of Landscape Photography is being outside, enjoying fresh air and being inspired by what I see. Being able to pick out scenes or details that interest me. After all it is a very personal pursuit and one that we constantly aim to develop. Today I’m happy to be able to be here and to walk around this beautiful location and see what I see as Autumn in the Lake District unfolds.

I am pretty sure there will be an interesting Autumnal image to be captured here in the coming days and weeks….
