Breezy Buttermere Birthday Walk

It wasn’t too long ago I was here at Buttermere with my Camera not that I need an excuse such as a Birthday to head back to this beautiful Lake District Landscape Photography location. In fact I’d go as far as to say this is my favourite place in the world. Not that I’ve been everywhere but I really connect with Buttermere. So, on my 41st Birthday I decided to treat myself to a walk around Buttermere. I was lucky to be able to do this today as I have spent the past 2.5 days in bed with barely enough energy to function. Such is the torment of having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Anyway, it’s been a while since I walked around here and I was under no illusions that I may not make it. I decided to walk the roadside way first so if it got too much I could head back to Buttermere village and call it a day. Fortunately I made it all the way around, not that I’d of set a lap record but the key here is I did it, whether I pay for it later or not is another thing but where better a place to spend your birthday.

Here is how I got on with the Ultra light setup of my Leica M-D with my 28mm Summaron-M. No bag or tripod for an ultra lightweight, giving my self the best chance approach.
