Search for Snow at Buttermere.

After being denied an opportunity to witness Buttermere in Snow yesterday I was determined to make it today. This time I’ll approach from the Whinlatter Pass in the hope the roads are passable. As I got going it was obvious most of the recent snow had melted, however there was still a possibility of snow on the higher feels surrounding Buttermere. Here goes on my search for Snow at Buttermere.

Approaching Crummock Water and Buttermere

Red Pike above Buttermere.

Local Advise.

A short stroll along the southern edge of Crummock Water on my way to Buttermere.

The edge of the Oaks.

Towards Buttermere.

Great Autumn colours over Buttermere and below Fleetwith Pike

Not snowy but always beautiful.

Better Light further towards Crummock Water.

Always a pleasure to visit Buttermere.
