Torridon Trip Report – Day 2 – Ardheslaig

The start of my week in Torridon and things are looking pretty good so far. I chose to stay in Ardheslaig to the West of Torridon itself. Mainly due to the house I found availability in.

I wasn’t aware I’d pass by the Red roof cottage, which was a nice surprise as I’ve seen many photographs of that house online. I’ll be sure to revisit and see what I can capture myself.

Today was about becoming aquatinted with the local area so we set off towards Torridon, passing through Shieldaig. I decided to have a look down towards Diabaig first which was an interesting drive in the new van. A fantastic road with some great vantage points of the local area. The kids were quite impressed with the shipwreck on Diabaig beach so we had a short walk before heading back to Torridon. From here we headed down towards Loch Maree for a little explore to round off day one. So far, so good. Lots to work with for a Landscape Photographer with the usual mixture of Scottish weather conditions.
