Little Langdale Dawn – Shoot 3

For my third visit in three days I was determined to capture this shot with the best possible light and atmosphere that I believe will suit this scene. For me that is at Sunrise. The later afternoon light doesn’t quite work here for me at this location.

I love this composition and felt it would benefit from the softer less harsh light at the very start of the day. The distant fells and sky above would be light from behind me this providing a more balanced scene.

I hurried to get in position just as the sun rose and I can honestly say I am very pleased with how things turned out…

Prints of this scene in Little Langdale are available here.
