I was in a gallery in Grasmere recently talking to the guy who worked there, we were looking at a painting of the double bridge over the River Derwent at Grange in Borrowdale. He said you cant see both arches of the bridge form any perspective so the painting wasn’t true to life. I didn’t argue with him as I wasn’t sure so I took it upon myself to find out. I made these images stood on the edge of the River and I can confirm indeed both arches can be seen and indeed captured.
