In recent times, I’ve been trying to simplify my photography. Remove all the distraction and choice if you like. So one camera, one lens really is a great way forward for me. While I love my Hasselblad and the 90mm lens for true Landscape Photography and capturing maximum detail. I equally love my walk around camera. The Leica M-D. While many people just don’t get the Leica M-D, I love it. It’s uncluttered and simple concept really appeals to me. No screen no buttons peppered to its vintage style body. Just pick it up and shoot what you see. It’s probably as near to film shooting as you can get but without the hassle of developing film. It’s your eye, imagination and a click of a button.
So here’s a few images taken on New Years Eve and my last visit to Crosby Beach for 2017. All images captured with my Leica M-D and my Leica 50mm Summilux lens which has been my lens of choice over the Leica 28mm Summaron-M in the last few months.
