Brandelhow Jetty on Derwentwater Shoot

Another revisit to an old favourite Lake District Landscape Photography location. Seen as I’m now shooting with my new camera I’m revisiting old locations and retaking some of my favourite images in the hope of bettering myself and making strong images with the better setup I have. Such is a digital workflow I guess. Anyway, this was one of those shoots where an extra 5 minutes would have really helped me out. On arrival a couple were sat on the edge of the Jetty as I set up. The light was pretty good as I was setting up and I managed to take a shot to capture that, I was hoping as the sun set the distant fells of Skiddaw and Blencathra would illuminate but it wasn’t to be, the sun disappeared and left the scene rather flat. Not to worry though I managed to capture a few images Im really pleased with. Its quite good when things don’t always work out as I then promise myself another visit.
