My first Lake District Landscape Photography morning shoot of the year, not bad considering it May and last year it took me until October. This morning was proof that if I’m not up and out for sunrise then I’m missing out. Grasmere is always great for Mist and this morning was no exception. A total white out which made a wander through Penny Rock woods around Grasmere a real photographic treat. Especially photographing the two swans asleep. I need to try my best to get out for more morning shoots this year. By 6am it was t shirt weather and seeing a fog bow over Grasmere was really special. I captured it perfectly on my iPhone but let myself down with my big camera as the Polariser reduced its visibility doing what polarisers do. Lesson learnt.
All in all a great morning and all done by 7am. Fantastic.
