Lake District views voted best in country

A recent survey has concluded that several iconic views in the Lake District have been voted best views in Britain.

Buttermere, my favourite place in the Lakes was top of the list with 18 percent of the votes. Derwent Water came second with 11 percent; Wastwater England’s deepest Lake came eighth.

The car company Chevrolet carried out the survey with 1,000 adults contributing.

Les Turton from Chevrolet said, “It is really great that more and more people are appreciating and acknowledging everything that our own country has to offer us. There is a wealth of beauty on offer to everyone within the UK and we only need to hit the road to find it.”

Again proof that the Lake District is regarded as the most scenic place in the UK. My collection of Lake District Photographs includes all the places in the top 10. You can visit my Lake District gallery by clicking here or specific examples by clicking on the locations above.
