Crosby Beach Sunset

I’ve visited Crosby Beach many times, it’s an interesting location, especially with the Another Place installation by Artist Anthony Gormley. Initially 100 Iron casts of the Artist body were installed on the Beach looking out to Sea. Some have been removed due to the risks to the Public who ventured out at low tide to see them.

Another great feature of Crosby Beach is it faces out to the West which allows for great Sunset photographs form the Beach. Here is  a collection I was lucky enough to capture and witness.

Off shore Wind turbines litter the horizon nowadays.

Burbo Bank Windfarm, there is a small collection of Turbines int eh distance, but what appears to be many more further out to Sea off the North Wales coast.

Some of the Iron Men in distance. Snowdonia National Park is clearly visible on the Horizon.

There was a thick band of cloud covering most of the Sky but luckily this evening the Far horizon was clear which allowed the last of the Sun to break through and illuminate the Beach.

Snowdonia over the Bay of Liverpool.

The gap in the cloud.

The sun eventually set behind the distant horizon.

You can see my current collection of Seascape Prints from the Sefton Coast and Crosby Beach here.
