Wastwater – July 2011

A July visit to Wastwater whilst I was out delivering a Large Framed Photo of Wastwater to Irton Hall.

A neat hole in the wall down to the riverside at Forge Bridge over the River Esk, approaching Wasdale via Birker Fell.

Wastwater, Kirk Fell, Great Gable and Lingmell in Summer.

It was pretty windy, these longer exposure shots help to break up the roughness of the water.

Varying light conditions has its effect on the water colour.

Zooming in on the Famous Wastwater Screes.

A wider shot showing the Screes over The Lake Districts Deepest Lake. A couple of swimmers had just swam past only 5 minutes earlier. I believe this is Low Irton and High Irton Crag over Wastwater? Or it could be Vickers How and Bell Rib with Illgill Head above.

The effects of different exposure settings on the two shots above. I prefer the choppier left shot as the water looks more inviting.

Moving up the shore you reach a pebbled beach. The location for a couple of previous shots as seen in my Wastwater gallery.

Yewbarrow from the beach. Notice a live wedding shoot bottom left. A wonderful location to get married and perfect weather for your wedding pictures. Good luck to them.

Here you can see more of my Wastwater Prints from various seasons.
