My fascination and ever-increasing interest in Portrait Photography has lead me to capture my third official portrait. Titled “Stay Humble” Stay Humble is a portrait of Photographer Mark McNeil. I’ve never met Mark before prior to today, however, we have chatted briefly online in and around the photography community on Social Media. Mark and I were in the same area this evening and decided to meet up for a quick shoot. You can see my Landscape Photographs from this evening in my previous post here. As we were wrapping up shooting the setting sun I asked Mark if he’d be comfortable with me making his portrait. He happily agreed and I made a few images of him and his new haircut.
The next day I printed out my favourite of the images I made and posted it off to Mark. I hope he or maybe more so his family enjoy his portrait. As with Landscapes that I am more accustomed to making this photograph will forever capture a moment in Marks life and I hope his 40x30cm print will be admired for many years.
