Today I made a trip to Rhosneigr on Anglesea. I have heard lots of good things about Anglesea and in particular Rhosneigr so wanted to visit the part of North Wales with my camera and see what it’s all about for a Landscape Photographer. I’ve only visited Anglesea a couple of times previously, once back in 2006 and more recently when I visited Llanddwyn Island to photography the Lighthouse back in 2017.
For this day trip I brought along all my photo gear but on arrival decided, as I often do, to just walk about with my Leica M-D and iPhone. No tripods, bags and filters. A simple approach. Below is a selection of images I captured on my Leica M-D with 50mm Summilux. I regretting not bringing my wide angle lens for the rocks not the beach but I do love the 50mm focal length and the restrict that places on me as a photographer.
The weather was pretty flat today. I can imagine in low warm light and if the tide was out there is a lot of potential for a nice series of Landscape Photographs here. For now though I’m happy with the photographs form my first visit. It’s good to visit somewhere new with no idea of what to expect.
