After the great weather of yesterday, today was a little dull in comparison, however that wasn’t all too bad as I needed a day inside to rest, getting around on Skye requires a lot of concentration and time. Elgol to Neist Point is over a three hour round trip and on roads that require full attention. Don’t get me wrong I love driving and riding here on Skye. Check out previous visits on my Motorbike in 2008 and 2009, and while I’m on that subject, the Alps tours on Motorbike from 2009 and 2010 were simply amazing. No it’s not the driving that’s a problem it’s the inability to concentrate for long enough to remain safe. So today was another rest day in the house with a short visit to Elgol Beach at the end of the day, only for sanities sake.
Here’s what today revealed.

The cuillin and Loch Scavaig covered in Cloud.

Elgol below the clouds and Rùm almost covered too. The bungalow directly below is for sale. What a place to live this would be.

Note the Cow in the Bottom right of the image as the day clears out a little.

Down at Elgol Jetty with the view over the Beach towards the Black Cuillin over Lock Scavaig.

The beach is made up of large pebbles which can be tough to walk across. There are some nice stones to be found along here.

A natural bowl of Pebbles.

Tiny Green snails cling to the rocks here.

A range of colours

A broken Pebble.

As the day draws to a close, the sun makes a very brief appearance before dipping below the Horizon.
