A second visit to Hodge Close in the same week. While the Autumn colours were so vibrant I really wanted to make sure I had captured the best of this scene. I’d waited a year already and didn’t fancy waiting another year so headed back to explore this composition a little further.
Not as windy today so not as much movement captured in the Branches of the trees, the water flowing down the rock face in-between the trees is nicely blurred however.

I’m not sure I’ve improved on my previous shoot here a few days earlier, but now I can conclude this for a year at least. I’d been looking forward to making these images for so long. It’s a nice feeling to complete that, especially when the results are so pleasing or maybe I’m too close to the vision in my mind, I like the images, the uniqueness and the completion.
We had a wander around other parts of the Quarry, it’s a fascinating location.

This tree is another composition I am drawn too, I’ve photographed this scene previously but weren’t happy with the results, this shot however I find to be more of a success, perhaps it could do with a little more colour on the tree itself. I’m probably too late to capture it at its best, with its exposed position the wind maybe get to the leaves early in Autumn. I’ll visit here again in other Seasons of the year.
