Castlerigg Stone Circle is a popular location for Tourists and Photographers alike, there is something about the challenge of capturing this location that must appeal to Landscape Photographers. Maybe an exercise in composition or maybe the challenge of having the right conditions and space to make images. On this particular evening I stopped by Castlerigg Stone Circle for the last hour of the day.
Here’s how things turned out. I also made this short video to accompany the photographs.

Heading into Keswick and the conditions look promising.

Setup by Castlerigg Stone Circle, there are lots of other people taking photos here tonight.

The complete circle, chose my moment to try and hide the other visitors behind the stones.

A Cow Boy Photographer, not something you see everyday in the Lake District.

Meanwhile, in the Other direction there was the beginning of a beautiful sunset over the Western Fells of the Lake District.

Great colours over the Western Fells.
