A brief moment over Derwentwater

I spent most of the morning in Borrowdale, waiting for the weather. As is one of the main challenges us Landscape Photographers face. I really should learn to give up sooner and focus my attention on something else on days like today. As I sat it out in my van I heard Hailstones on the roof and saw several rain showers pass by. Just what you’d expect for May. It was a quiet, post bank holiday morning and one were I was searching out peace and quiet and a little inspiration. My trip to Borrowdale was to continue my Fern obsession series. If you purchased a copy of Capture Lakeland Volume 2 you’ll be familiar with my mini project from there. I’m hoping to complete the cycle over the coming months.

After conceding and heading home I decided to take a few minutes to wander around this part of Derwentwater which has been kind to me in the past. Not so much luck today however but nonetheless great to be out and having this place to myself. All of these images were made on my Leica M-D with a Leica 50mm Summilux lens.

All of the Lake District Landscape Photographs showcased on this blog are available as Archival Quality Framed Prints. Please contact me for details….
