A popular scene you may come across when browsing Lake District Pictures. It seems to represent an iconic view and a great challenge for the photographer. How do you compose the scene and are you lucky or persistent enough to get the weather on your side. Whatever approach is taken there is no denying this is a magnificent place and the view here is still as relaxing and inspiring to me as the day I took this picture. The quietness, stillness and scale of the scene is something to become immersed in. The late setting winter sun casts warming rays over Haystacks and onto the west side of Fleetwith Pike. The shore of Buttermere was frozen as was the grass in the foreground, this and the shadowed eastern slopes of High Stile offer an interesting contrast to the warming rays. The grass almost leading you into the scene and the tree standing graciously alone.

Beautiful photographs and timeless framing

After searching a long time for either a piece of art or photography to go above the headboard in my bedroom I came across James work. After the long process of choosing a photo - there’s just so much beautiful work, I settled on a view of buttermere tree (30cm by 90cm) in a black frame. The picture arrived in good time and well packaged. Upon opening the package I was thrilled with it. The frame is a simple timeless classic design, and the photo was everything I was hoping for. It’s completely changed my bedroom for the better, it’s lovely to have such a relaxing photo to look at. I’m really really happy with my purchase, in time I’ll probably be making another purchase as it was really hard to just pick one and they really do improve your space.

Stunning works of art

Well.... Having spent months looking for just the right artwork, something special.... by chance we stumbled upon the work of James Bell. This work is beyond special. The website is just full of so many beautiful photographs that no home has enough walls! Struggled to choose between our three absolute favourites, so we went for all three and in the stunning super large sizes. The quality and skill and artful landscape photography is simply stunning. And the quality of the framed product does it justice. Solid oak frames and well packaged. Arrived quickly and went straight on the wall at the first opportunity. The print quality is excellent - even on a 1200mm print everything is perfectly crisp and sharp. But what makes all of this so special is James Bell, his passion for capturing that perfect moment in a perfect place. That is what you invest in here - a moment captured by a gifted genius, and you get to gaze into that moment every time you enter a room. 60 cm framed print - Very impressed

I was very impressed at the speed with which my order was processed and delivered, particularly given that you were going on holiday the next day! And the quick response to my initial enquiry. It was much appreciated. I was also very happy with the quality of the print and the framing. The print was bought as a wedding present for my best friend and her husband - they tell me that they both love the photo and it will be taking pride of place above their mantlepiece!

All the prints are signed on the front. A neat white border surrounds the printed image allowing easy mounting or framing. Please note loose prints are posted in a sturdy card tube wrapped in acid free tissue paper. Please take care when unpacking your loose print and be mindful of scratching the ink on the paper.

Delivery Information 

All my loose prints are shipped in a sturdy card postal tube. Framed prints and canvases are shipped wrapped in bubble wrap and carefully packed in a custom designed cardboard box. I aim to deliver within 2-7 days of receiving your order depending on the order contents and quantity, prints are usually printed and posted next day, larger framed/canvases can take 5-10 days. The price of delivery is added to your order at the checkout stage.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Any items that arrive damaged may be returned for a 100% refund or replacement. If this occurs, please contact me immediately with the status of your goods, I will need to see a photo of the damaged item and the packaging. I will process the refund or replacement as soon as I receive the returned items. If the damage was the shipper's fault, I will reimburse you for the shipping too so please save a receipt and send it to me for a full refund of the order plus any shipping costs you incur. Please refuse delivery if the item appears damaged on arrival.
