A beautiful still and peaceful morning around Grasmere

Elgol beach on the Isle of Skye looking over Loch Scavaig and the magnificent Black Cuillin. One of my all time favourite locations. It was a test of nerve to see how long I could stay in position to catch the shot I wanted without getting soaked as the ferocious tide of Loch Scavaig engulfed the rocks i was stood on. 

A beautiful wooden Jetty on or should I say in Ullswater.

An erratic boulder in the Borrowdale Valley below Kings How. I managed to capture this scene at the perfect moment the sun illuminated the wonderful autumn colours that decorate this magnificent valley. 

The tranquil Yew Tree Tarn with perfect Autumnal reflections. Great all year round but as with many locations across the Lake District just that bit more special in Autumn.

Wonderful light on the slopes of Kings How in the heat of the Borrowdale Valley. 

Sunset from Great Mell Fell. I stumbled upon this lone tree on my walk up and on my walk down I composed this scene as the sun set in the distance.

The beautiful and breathtaking view from Skelwith Fold towards the Langdale Pikes and surrounding Fells. I have enjoys many a happy moments admiring this wonderful view.

The Duke of Portland Boathouse on Ullswater, probably the most iconic building of its type in the Lake District. With such easy access to this beautiful scene its a well photographed location. Here is my composition form a typical Summers Day in the Lake District.

A view that is very close to my heart from Skelwith Fold over the the Langdale Pikes and Lingmoor Fell. Quite simple a stunning view made more special with this dramatic weather. Wonderful.
