Thirlmere – Finally

It has been a good long while since I last visited Thirlmere. If you follow my blog you may recall my many visits a couple of years ago. See here for more Thirlmere Landscape Photography shoots. For the last year or so United Utilities have had the road closed off here whilst they are doing working in this area. Felling Trees by the looks of it. At the time of this visit to road was still closed off, however I decided to take my chance and see how far I could get. Luckily for me I was able to revisit this great little spot I came to time and time again previously. It really is a wonderful spot. I’ve done it to death photographically but I do like seeing how these places develop with time.

Today the water was pretty high in Thirlmere so I could access the shore as I had previously. I made these images below on a brief visit before moving on.
