Sunset over Coniston Old Man

A quick visit to Coniston tonight, I had not much hope of anything materialising as it was flat and grey when I left Ambleside, however, all of a sudden the sky lit up, luckily for me I was in position and ready. Such is the case with Landscape Photography in the Lake District, it pays to be out and ready. For every night like this I probably have 10 where nothing develops so to speak, so this was a nice surprise. Always reminds me of the old saying “The more I practise, the luckier I get”
