Being based close to Ambleside I am always keen to visit the best local places to capture Lake Distri tLandscapes and especially in the Autumnal months some of these locations really come to life with beautiful colours. One such location is Stockghyll above Ambleside. Literally a 5 minute walk form Ambleside town Centre this is a perfect location anyone can enjoy. Here’s how I got on looking to add to my collection of Stockghyll Autumn Landscape Photography Prints.

By the wooden bridge over Stockghyll. Ive never explored higher than this at this location.

Down by the waters edge. Its a great location

Trying to find alternative angles to compose Stockghyll and the bridge together in one frame

Stood in the water you get a low level shot upstream.

Using my Tilt Shift Lens I can shift the lens down to include much more of the foreground without distorting the elements at the top of the scene as with a regular lens.

A really enjoyable shoot at Stockghyll this year.
