Skelwith Sunset

It’s great to be back in the Lake District with my camera and ready to make more Landscape Photographs. It seems like a while since I’ve had really inspiring conditions to admire and get excited about photographically. Tonight was all set to be a good sunset. I didn’t venture more than a 5 minute walk this evening but so glad I made it out. It only takes a few brief moments to be reminded and inspired and tonight was what I’ve needed for a long long while now.

Its a challenge to keep photographing the same scene over and over again and find something new and different, while the weather and composition brings variation I never tire of witnessing this scene. There is something really special about it and given the right conditions it can be just that bit more special. Tonight was a real pleasure to be here and out admiring this wonderful view especially to the soundtrack of new born lambs calling their Mothers. If anything a new start, a reminder that things keep changing and evolving. New life, new starts. A great hour or so being at peace. I hope to have many more moments like this in the coming weeks and months.

If you use Instagram you can see some behind the scenes footage of my shoot tonight here on my archived story.
