My first Morning Shoot of the year

As you may have picked up only previous posts, I struggle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome since being hospitalised with Glandular Fever in early June 2013. It’s a cruel and debilitating condition that transforms a normal life into a very closed and lonely life. I have struggled with it both physically and psychologically for over two years now.

One of the biggest positives in my life along with my children is Photography, especially Landscape Photography. I find it hugely rewarding. However it can be a difficult challenge when you can’t think straight and you simply don’t have the energy to take yourself anywhere.

This particular series of images was such a day when my mind wanted to go out but my body simply wouldn’t let me. I took the 20 or so paces form bed to the front window and captured these images. It’s a step in the right direction and one I’m hoping to build upon.

I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to miss out on mornings like these. Hopefully that frustration will fuel my determination to get through this and I know it will make capturing scenes like this even more special.

Thanks for looking.
