My first visit to the Duddon Valley in the Western Lake District. I’d heard Birks Bridge in the Valley was a photogenic location so decided to take a look.

I avoided taking photos of the Bridge itself, mainly as I couldn’t find a composition I was happy with and the time of day. Instead I chose to shoot form the Bridge and treat this first visit more of a learning exercise.
