The Langdale Pikes from Tarn Hows

One of the things I like best about Tarn Hows is not the Tarn at all. It’s the slightly elevated position of the southern side of the Tarn which give me fantastic views across Tom Heights to the most iconic of Lake District Fells the Langdale Pikes. On this particular evening I had no expectations. I was merely interested to see what would unfold. Here’s what I captured.

The distinctive outline of The Langdale Pikes.
