Esthwaite Water isn’t a place I’ve visited all that often, past Hawkshead towards the South of the Lake District National Park. It’s relatively close to my base in the Lake District, but I often and unfairly think it’s in the wrong direction. The lure of the higher fells of Langdale often keep me that way.
One particular morning there was heavy mist practically until lunchtime, after I’d visited a woodland near Grasmere and Grasmere itself I was on the way home for breakfast and thought I’d pay a quick visit to Esthwaite Water and I’m glad I did, here’s what I captured.
I’ve been meaning to take the kids fishing here for ages now.
UPDATE: You can see photos from that Fishing trip here, although I’m loathed to call it Fishing as that implies you had a hope for catching something. Let’s just call it a boat trip on Esthwaite Water with a Fishing Rod. and a Leica Q 🙂
