One of those amazingly clear Autumnal days in the Lake District and a great opportunity to be outside let alone take photographs. I’ve recently got myself a new form of transport and after the recent 10 day wash out in Ullswater last month I wasn’t letting today pass without a ride and the chance of some photography.

Looking over the Troutbeck valley from Kirkstone Pass. Some fine Autumn colours still around and looking great in the low Autumn Sun.

Over The Tongue and into the High Fells Frostwick and Ill Bell on the rights Stoney Cove Pike on the left.

A wide panoramic view over Troutbeck

One advantage of riding a motorcycle around the Lake District is the ability to squeeze into tight places for a few moments.

A derelict hut with a fine view up Troutbeck Park and onto the Higher Fells.

It’s only earlier afternoon put the setting sun casts big shadows across the foreground.

Continuing on my way the next stop is Ullswater. I drove up this road to Docker last month and thought of returning on my bike.

A great viewpoint over the southern part of Ullswater.

Fantastic.

A quick visit to this little Jetty previously visited in moodier times.

The low sun adds great illumination the Autumn colours over Ullswater.

The target for today was to Catch Sunset over Keswick from Latrigg. The viewpoint is at the end of the path on the left. Hope I make it.

The norther tip of Derwentwater and the sun illuminating Catbells.

Made it and what a great view for such a modest walk.

This is one way to enjoy such a fantastic day. I’ve always wanted to try this.

The guy on the right was on his radio guiding the Paraglider. Sounds like his first solo flight.

The Helvellyn Range.

The guy from my previous picture headed up a little higher.
