Holme Fell Summer Evening Shoot

Each summer us Landscape Photographers patiently await the arrival of Autumn, cooler misty mornings and more aesthetically pleasing colours. However, one feature of Summer that many Landscape Photographers love is the heather that blooms on the fells across the Lake District. While I have to admit to not being a chaser of the Heather as I don’t consider myself a chaser of Bluebells in the Spring, it is nice to have some variety of colour in the Landscape. I’m a big fan of Summer Landscape Photography, I enjoy it, the warmer weather and the long warm shadows at the end of the day I find extremely pleasing to photograph. So tonight I headed up Holme Fell in search of some colour and a wonderful backdrop to the Langdale Pikes. I made the vlog below as a way of documenting the behind the scenes process of capturing these scenes.
