I was heading to Keswick in search of inspiration as the sun set and settled on a visit to Surprise View.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jamesbellphotography.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1441224604_thumb.jpeg\" alt=\"\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jamesbellphotography.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1441224633_thumb.jpeg\" alt=\"\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Would I be Surprised with the conditions?\u2026<\/h3>\n<p>As the sun sets you lose sight of the Sun long before it sets due to the hills. Being a bit higher up may give me more distance to view the sun and capture any explosions of colour as the sun eventually sets.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jamesbellphotography.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1441224661_thumb.jpeg\" alt=\"\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As the sun set there were no big Surprises in terms of colours in the sky. Skiddaw illuminate like I\u2019d hoped, these subtle tones I find quite pleasing.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jamesbellphotography.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1441224684_thumb.jpeg\" alt=\"\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll come here again for Sunset and maybe a morning shoot as all of the foreground below could glow with good morning light.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jamesbellphotography.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1441224717_thumb.jpeg\" alt=\"\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The print above has been added to my collection. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jamesbellphotography.co.uk\/613-surprise-view-sunset.html\">Surprise View Sunset Print<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s been a while since I visited Surprise View high above Derwentwater in the Borrowdale Valley.
