{"id":5241,"date":"2014-10-03T12:00:59","date_gmt":"2014-10-03T11:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jamesbellphotography.co.uk\/blog\/?p=5241"},"modified":"2014-10-03T12:00:59","modified_gmt":"2014-10-03T11:00:59","slug":"creative-workplace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jamesbellphotography.co.uk\/blog\/news\/creative-workplace","title":{"rendered":"A Creative Workplace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The working environment is crucial to the success of any company and one Cumbrian company addressing this is H&amp;H Reeds Printers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Current research demonstrates that well-designed office spaces benefits the psychological wellbeing of staff enabling companies to increase productivity and profit.<\/p>\n<p>The interior design of an office has an impact on users so H&amp;H Reeds commissioned an architect to adapt and improve the office environment for staff.\u00a0With no actual views, they wanted to create a feeling of wide space and wide open views, and bring the great outdoors of the Lake District into their great indoors.<\/p>\n<p>The specialists\u2019 skills of all divisions were brought into play\u00a0to turn a bland white wall, into a panoramic image of the Lake District.\u00a0Staff chose an impressive image of Lingmoor Fell taken by renowned Lake District photographer James Bell.<\/p>\n<p>A recent report from the British Council for Offices (BCO) and the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment found that effective office design can affect workplace performance by up to 11%. In addition office design influences a range of crucial performance factors such as staff motivation, retention and satisfaction and staff innovation and creativity.<\/p>\n<p>Managing Director of H&amp;H Reeds Printers Andy Jackson has taken these factors on board and tells us why:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a fantastic team of staff who are one of our most valuable assets, so we were keen to create a stimulating working environment that would inspire staff and\u00a0impress clients. The staff chose\u00a0James Bell\u2019s\u00a0image as they felt it was synonymous with their Lake District surroundings and I have to say I think that the finished result is fantastic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>James Bell, Lake District Landscape Photographer sells his prints to clients all over the world via\u00a0his website, on high streets across the\u00a0Uk\u00a0in John Lewis stores and here in Cumbria with some of the Lake District\u2019s leading galleries, here he gives us feedback on this installation:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI make photographs of the Lake District as I am passionate about the Landscape we have here. I sell my prints to people who want to bring a piece of the Lake District into their home or office.
