I find myself having these moments every now and then as Landscape Photography in the Lake District is sometimes like being a kid in a sweet shop. Too much choice, so many places. For me, I love the late afternoon light, the last hour or two before sunset, when the light is at its best. Mornings are a real struggle for me so I’m determined to make the most of every sunset I can. In the shorter months of the year we are blessed with lower light for longer but as the spring and summer months approach we are faced with different choices, once the sun dips behind one of the distant fells and the direct light has gone I often find the Landscape to be not as pleasing as when there are long shadows and golden light illuminating the land.<\/p>\n
Tonight I headed to the River Brathay in search of such light, as is often the way with Landscape Photography you can’d dial in the weather you want, you have to work with what you’re presented with and that’s what I did tonight on the River Brathay.<\/p>\n
