A lone Birch tree on the northern shore of Buttermere.
All my loose and framed prints are hand printed using the very latest Giclée printing process. Epson UltraChrome HDR Ink on professional Epson media gives prints that are lightfast for up to 150 years.
All the prints are signed on the front. A neat white border surrounds the printed image allowing easy mounting or framing.
My prints can also be professionally printed onto canvas using Vivera inks with a lifespan of up to 200 years. The canvas is wrapped round the edges of a mortise jointed, wedged and tensioned 36mm deep wooden frame and stapled on the reverse then satin sealed for a durable substantial contemporary look. Canvases can be cleaned with a damp cloth and are much lighter than a framed print. Canvas Prints can be much larger too.
All my framed prints are professionally mounted and framed by a certified Picture framer. Attention to details and personal care are used with the best materials to present my images the best possible way.
I offer two frame designs, Solid Oak and Satin Black Hardwood, these materials compliment my collection best and fit in with most light or dark décor.
Here are examples of my frames.
Solid Oak FSC Certified Frames
Satin Black Hardwood FSC Certified Frames

A popular scene you may come across when browsing Lake District Pictures. It seems to represent an iconic view and a great challenge for the photographer. How do you compose the scene and are you lucky or persistent enough to get the weather on your side. Whatever approach is taken there is no denying this is a magnificent place and the view here is still as relaxing and inspiring to me as the day I took this picture. The quietness, stillness and scale of the scene is something to become immersed in. The late setting winter sun casts warming rays over Haystacks and onto the west side of Fleetwith Pike. The shore of Buttermere was frozen as was the grass in the foreground, this and the shadowed eastern slopes of High Stile offer an interesting contrast to the warming rays. The grass almost leading you into the scene and the tree standing graciously alone.
