Buttermere View

Buttermere Panorama

Buttermere has to be one of the most naturally beautiful parts of the Lakes, this panoramic shot over Buttermere towards Fleetwith Pike, Warnscale Botttom and Haystacks is a classic. The late winter sun setting over Haystacks adds a warming touch in contrast to the ice on the shore in the foreground. Here you can read more about this Buttermere print and the Sepia version in my Lake District Landscape Photography Gallery.

Many of my clients are purchasing prints for others, as gifts for birthdays, anniversaries etc. My latest client had a special request, she was proposed to on the summit of Coniston Old Man. An engagement present was required. A first for me. The 3 images below were chosen, 2 of the Old Man and 1 of Buttermere. Here’s to a long and happy future together. Continue Reading

Buttermere Panorama Print

Here it is. The biggest print I’ve ever done. 90×30 inches or 7.5 x 2.5 feet or 2.2m x .75m. There’s a good story behind this print too, the lady who’s bought it for her Hall in Kendal is redecorating especially to match the colours of this image. I’m going to photograph the installation when it’s complete.
