What a print means to me….

Out of the thousands of Lake District photos I make and hundreds of prints I offer for sale, people often ask me which is my favourite. It’s a tough one as there are so many beautiful locations in the Lake District. Along with that you can often be surprised by the brief glimpses of amazing light that illuminate and transform a relatively typical scene into something truly amazing. (check out those links to see examples)

Like many people the prints I hold dearest are the ones that capture a memory or a moment in time. Something that allows me to relive an event or time and place. Conjuring up vivid memories of good times. So after careful thought it wasn’t actually a difficult choice after all. It’s obvious. This shot above of my two boys Thomas and Lewis sat above Rydal in September 2012 is for me my favourite Lake District Print. Me and the boys went in search of Batman’s Hideout.

Like many of you who have supported me by commenting with kind words of support and encouragement on my blog, my Facebook page, Twitter or Instagram or whether you have purchased one of my Lake District Prints. We too have had this memory framed and it sits proudly on our wall to remind us of these special moments, these special places and of course the special people in our lives who we create these amazing memories with.

My website has prints from all over the Lake District and hopefully you can find one that reminds you of those great times you have spent in the Lakes or maybe you just appreciate the beauty of the Landscape and you are keen to support a local artist in his endeavours. Either way thanks for looking and sharing my passion.
