My latest Lake District Photography Display is now up in Wilfs Cafe at the Mill Yard Staveley. A collection of Solid Oak Framed Lake District Prints are on display as well as a couple of Lake District Canvas prints. The display is in the large top room until further notice. There’s also a selection of Lake District Greetings Cards for sale downstairs too. Pop along and let me know what you think.
The Lakes has returned to ITV1 tonight (8pm to 8:30pm) Rory McGrath narrates a new series of the programme following some of the characters who live and work in the Lake District during the summer months. Today’s episode features Rob Rose, a man who has spent the last 15 years on a mission to breed the perfect pet pig. When the piglets are old enough to be sold to their new owners, will Rob be able to let them go? Joe and Lyndi are preparing for what they hope will be a perfect lakeside wedding. But on the big day, will the famous Lake District rain force them inside? Last year, hotelier Thomas ‘The Gladiator’ Noblett made a valiant attempt to swim the Channel and this summer he has another epic challenge lined up much closer to home.
Six of my Lake District framed landscape photographs are now on display in Wilfs Cafe at the Mill Yard, Staveley. Prints from Buttermere, Wasdale and Ullswater are on display at the far end of the ground floor dining area. As are a selection of my Lake District Greetings Cards.
A few weeks back I mentioned that 2 of my images were being used by the good people at Nurture Lakeland for their launch. Well here is a photo of the pop up banner they used my Wastwater image on.
I’m pleased to show my ongoing support for the guys at Nurture Lakeland, who are committed to raising the awareness of conservation in the Lake District. This week sees the start of the annual Keswick Mountain Festival. Nurture Lakeland will have a presence at the Festival and I’m pleased to announce they chose 2 of my Lake District Pictures for use in their promotional material. A large floor standing banner display as seen above and a folded leaflet for the public. I’m pleased to be supporting the Pirate Charity Day at the Watermill Inn, Ings The Lake District In aid of the Alzheimers Society today Saturday 15th May 2010. One of my framed pictures will be a prize in the raffle. Lakeland Radio are broadcasting live on the day. All events take place in the field next to the Watermill. Collie Wobbling Championship, Tug of War, Tractor Pull, Ings Regatta Race on land, bouncy castles, fun stalls and much more. Click here for more info on the event.
