Loughrigg Summit

This is the summit of Loughrigg Fell. I have had many visitors to the web site and the gallery ask where this is. In the distance you can see Dunmail Raise, Helm Crag to the left and Grasmere below. On this occasion I was treated to a mixed scene. Bright Spring sunshine on one half of the scene and threatening clouds on the other. I think the contrast between the moody shies and hope of the sun coming through makes for an interesting scene. In Wainwright’s Central Fells book 3, he describes three summits to Loughrigg Fell. The one pictured here is the central summit with the Ordnance Survey triangulation column clearly in view. The southern summit has a different perspective and gives you views down into Langdale, over Elterwater you also get a glimpse of the Industrial side of the Lake District with old mine works clearly visible on the side of Lingmoor Fell, a rear glimpse of Loughrigg Tarn is also seen.

Professional Printing

All my loose and framed prints are hand printed using the very latest Giclée printing process. Epson UltraChrome K3 Ink on professional Epson media gives prints that are lightfast for up to 75 years in colour and over 100 years in Black and White.

All the prints are signed on the front except the small panoramas. A neat white border surrounds the printed image allowing easy mounting or framing.

Professional Framing

All my prints can be professionally mounted and framed. Attention to details and personal care are used with the best materials to present my images the best possible way.

Framed Prints from the Lake District

I offer three frame designs, Oak, Walnut and Black wood laminate, these materials compliment my collection best and fit in with most light or dark décor. If you require a custom frame material/colour, please email with your requirements.

Canvas Prints

My prints can also be professionally printed onto canvas and stretched using Vivera inks with a lifespan of up to 200 years. The canvas is wrapped round the edges of a mortise jointed, wedged and tensioned 36mm deep wooden frame and stapled on the reverse then satin sealed for a durable substantial contemporary look.
